Meet Cameroon bloggers

More and more Cameroon bloggers are emerging . My tour of the blogosphere led to a discovery of a sizeable number of creative Cameroon bloggers. Their endeavours have seen new platforms rising, vibrant so to put it with communities of frequent visitors engagaing in discussions and debates of all kinds centered around topics touching on both Cameroon , African and World issues.

My list below however is by no means comprehensive but seeks anyway to highlight some of those Cameroon blogs and bloggers that are by far active enough. Also included in the list are Cameroon bloggers that are still yet to be discovered by many Cameroonians out there.

A couple of the bloggers do regular postings and updates . Some do serve as mere personal dairies for the bloggers while others have used their blog platforms as places of discussion , exchange of ideas and the promotion of a new vibrant debate culture that Cameroonians no doubt surely needs.

Interesting enough is the creativity i noticed. Most of the blogs are part personal dairies and journals and part open forums. A lot of this blogs do as well provide very useful links to other Cameroon related resources out there online.

In all the initatives and commitments that are demanded of blogging is a move worth noting. My suggestion is to click and visit some of this blogs and why not start blogging on your own and make your voice heard. Anyway blogging is fun and easy to setup nowadays and to a large extend relatively free . WordPress for example does offer an opportunity to start your own blog anytime you want for free and guess what, in less than ten minutes your own blog will be up and running even if you are clueless about website or page design . I’m however positive the emerging Cameroon blogosphere will be swollen by a new generation of vibrant Cameroon bloggers. A Cameroon blog network is in the making . New Cameroon voices , doing their things , this is formidable.

An army of cyberactivist – a new Front in the Southern Cameroons quest for independence.

The southern Cameroons struggle for independence has seen the rise of a new front. Cyber activism is the new dimension in getting the cause forward. This days more and more websites and weblogs carrying literature old and new about the cause are on the rise daily. Its also been pretty interesting realising the rise of new online discussion forums were Southern Cameroons have being engaged in discussions of all kinds. Discussions and debates ranging from topics amongst others like ,what way forward, federalism or total independence etc. Quite impressive is how heated most of this debates have been. Its quite clear there are multitiple voices and views on the Southern Cameroons issue. One can deduce from this debates that Southern Cameroonians are in most causes free thinkers. Though a couple of individuals have not refrain from the idea that other people have a right to think different as to the way forward. By and large the majority of forum participants are of the view there is an urgent need to find a way forward .

One very pertinent issue i could make out of this rise of Southern Cameroons cyber activism is that the home front is not very much represented in this new online forums. I mean in this case Southern Cameroonians at home. The bunch of the ongoing cyber activism thus far is largely daispora base. In any case i personally hold the view its an interesting and positive step if that might help in getting the cause forward . Below are links to some of the best sites, blogs and forums i was able to locate online  for those who are still to visit and why not participate in this forums. Maybe your idea can help in one way or the other to enrich the ongoing debates in the Anglophone Cameroon circle.
