The southern Cameroons struggle for independence has seen the rise of a new front. Cyber activism is the new dimension in getting the cause forward. This days more and more websites and weblogs carrying literature old and new about the cause are on the rise daily. Its also been pretty interesting realising the rise of new online discussion forums were Southern Cameroons have being engaged in discussions of all kinds. Discussions and debates ranging from topics amongst others like ,what way forward, federalism or total independence etc. Quite impressive is how heated most of this debates have been. Its quite clear there are multitiple voices and views on the Southern Cameroons issue. One can deduce from this debates that Southern Cameroonians are in most causes free thinkers. Though a couple of individuals have not refrain from the idea that other people have a right to think different as to the way forward. By and large the majority of forum participants are of the view there is an urgent need to find a way forward .
One very pertinent issue i could make out of this rise of Southern Cameroons cyber activism is that the home front is not very much represented in this new online forums. I mean in this case Southern Cameroonians at home. The bunch of the ongoing cyber activism thus far is largely daispora base. In any case i personally hold the view its an interesting and positive step if that might help in getting the cause forward .
